Hi! I’m Bruno Lopez-Vargas, a 2nd-gen Mexican-American artist based in sunny Portland, OR. My work spans animation, illustration, and design - each medium offering a unique lens to explore identity, culture, and the world around me.
Over the years, I’ve developed a multidisciplinary approach that blends Motion Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, 2D Animation, and Video Editing. My projects range from social campaigns, character animation, sizzle reels, and hype videos to large experiential pieces for digital displays. I believe the more tools you master, the more limitless your ideas become.

Outside of motion design, I’m also a musician, frontman, and creative lead for the progressive-rock band To Bloom, whose work has been featured in Spin Magazine, A&R Factory, Metal Hammer, and several Latin American music channels. Whether in motion or music, my goal is to tell stories that resonate, connect, and inspire.

I’m currently diving into 3D and Rive, and I’m excited to add these tools to my creative toolkit soon!

TOOLS USED:
After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, InDesign, and Procreate.
I am also familiar with audio editing software such as Logic and Adobe Audition.
