ALASKA AIRLINES: FREE CHAT

I had the incredible opportunity to lead this animated social ad from concept to execution. I storyboarded, illustrated, and animated all aspects of this piece.

THE ASK

Find a creative execution that conveys the benefits of Free Texting on select Alaska Airlines flights.

DELIVERABLES

The final deliverables for this project were two social-ready pieces of animated content for both Facebook and Instagram and one carousel ad for Facebook.

STORYBOARDS

The concept pitched highlighted the feature’s convenience and ease as illustrated by a conversation between a passenger and grounded friend. This piece was pitched as a 2D hand drawn animation + motion graphics hybrid.

STYLE-FRAMES

I took an illustrative approach that was quite different from what Sparkloft had created for Alaska Airlines in the past - rather than making vector illustrations I decided to go for a hand drawn raster-based look. I illustrated all the pieces in Procreate on the iPad and pitched the style with three different color stories.
